The Lord’s Wake – Metro D.C. Synod Youth + Family Day at the Lake

The Metro D.C. Synod Youth+Family Ministry Team invites you to The Lord’s Wake – Y+F Day at the Lake. Join in a day of fun, fellowship, and faith as we gather at Leesylvania State Park (2001 Daniel K Ludwig Dr, Woodbridge, VA 22191)

Friday, June 27, 2025

11am-3pm

The team will provide lunch, games, and a devotional about the wake ripples that we can impart through faith.

The only cost is the $10 entrance fee/vehicle and the team will help cover that cost if it is a burden for your family or congregation.

Leesylvania State Park offers a beach, trails, a boat launch, playground and other facilities that the whole family can enjoy.

We will have the octagonal Picnic Pavilion #4 from 8am to dusk though we will only be hosting the event 11am-3pm. It is handicapped accessible, convenient to a parking lot, has a kitchenette, bathrooms, electricity, water, and a grill.

Please register to let us know you will be attending. This event is open to all youth and families from the Metro D.C. and Delaware-Maryland Synods.

* There is NO lifeguard on duty at this park. Please be prepared to have an adult supervise any youth who plan to swim.

Don’t know what to bring? Free will donations are also gratefully accepted 😁

Classics Senior Adult Group

The Classics Outing

The Classics visited the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley April 23.

We met 14 towering dinosaurs and prehistoric animals made from scrap metal and found objects by Minnesota artist Dale Lewis. Each sculpture, in a uniquely imaginative way, blended art and history!  We also enjoyed seeing the gardens and museum.
