LBPS – About Us

About Our School

Established in 2000 as a ministry of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Blessings is a Christian preschool and learning center designed for children two through five years old.  In compliance with the Code of Virginia, Section 63.2-1716, this Center is religiously exempt from licensure and is classified as a "religiously exempt child day center."

A Preschool Committee under the direction of Church Council is responsible for oversight of the preschool.  The Preschool Director, under the supervision of the Pastor, is responsible for day-to-day operations of the preschool.

Our lead teachers have bachelor’s degrees.  Staff members are required to have background checks and they will include other states a person has lived in the past five years. In addition, all staff are trained to use an Epi-pen and are certified in First Aid and CPR annually.

Our Philosophy

Little Blessings Preschool is a program designed to enhance the early spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual needs of our children.  Our goal is to foster growth in these four areas in a safe, nurturing, child-centered environment. Children learn best through play, visible examples, and discovery.  We have incorporated an Outdoor Classroom for children to learn and explore in nature.  We also offer STEAM learning activities throughout the year.

Everyone attends Chapel and Music Class weekly.
