Did you know that in the Lutheran church, you don’t have to be dead to be a saint?

While All Saints Day often honors those who have passed away, Lutherans believe that anyone who follows Jesus Christ is a saint. Sainthood isn’t something earned or achieved—it is a free GIFT of God’s grace! You are a saint!

We all have people who have helped shape our faith journey. This All Saints Day, we invite you to bring a picture of a personal “saint” in your life—someone (living or passed) who has helped draw you closer to God.

What to Expect:

• Honor & Remembrance: We will light candles and fill out card displays for our named saints. We will also explore the lives of more famous saints from different times and places.
• Worship Procession: At the end of the hour, all are invited to join the worship gathering procession carrying their saint’s photo to display in our sanctuary.
• “Saints & Sweets” Refreshments: Enjoy cookies baked from recipes passed down by saints who came before us!

How You Can Participate:

1. Bring a Photo: Pack a picture of a personal saint (living or passed) to display during Sunday School and worship.
2. Bake a Recipe: Have a favorite cookie recipe from a mom, grandparent, or dear friend? Bake a batch to share for fellowship during the Sunday School hour! You can also bring a recipe to share!

Mark your Calendar!

Budget Hearing Meeting – Sunday, November 8 following worship.  Stay after worship and ask your questions about the 2027 proposed budget that we will vote on at the congregation meeting.

Congregation Meeting – Sunday November 15 following worship! All members are encouraged to stay as we vote for the 2027 budget.  Should be no more than 15 minutes!

From Oct 15-30 the church building will be going through some major renovations. 

 All  are free to use the facility as normally; however, there may not be any HVAC in specific rooms.   Please be prepared for this schedule.

Expected Schedule: 

• OCT 15 & 16 ME Flow will begin disconnecting HVAC systems in preparation for roof replacement.
• The Kitchen, Common Area, Gathering Area, and Offices (RTUs 1-4) & Preschool classrooms and staff offices adjacent to back stairs, will remain in service until roof replacement is complete.
• Environmental controls will be turned off (no HVAC) for the sanctuary, music room youth room fellowship hall, and multipurpose room in the basement.  These will not be turned back on until the week of the 26th.
• Weekend Oct 17-18 no work
• OCT 19-23 Peak Roofing will be conducting roof replacement operations
• Weekend Oct 24-25 no work
• Oct 26-30 ME Flow will be back to reset, test and balance HVAC units.  There will likely be a crane on site for at least the 26th to move equipment from and back to the roof.  This will likely happen in the morning hours and may require adjustment to drop off location for preschool children.

There are a lot of moving parts to this renovation.  Grace and flexibility with schedule and inevitable changes are requested and appreciated.
