We welcome any woman at Holy Trinity to join us at church on the first Tuesday of each month @10 a.m. Our mornings include preparing and delivering lunches for the Loudoun homeless shelter, a meeting to discuss outreach service projects, an offering, as well as a time for personal fellowship. Our time together ends with a book study.
Book Study
This year we will be reading Joanna Weaver’s “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World” as well as an accompanying Bible study. We are looking forward to having Pastor Kristin be our WELCA book study leader at our October 6th meeting.
Looking ahead, we will be delivering lunches and visiting Shelter House on November 3rd at the invitation of Linda Kimble, house director.
Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets
Watch for information for our 2026 Thanksgiving outreach to Frederick Douglass Elementary. As we did last year, our goal, with the congregations help, is to provide Thanksgiving dinner food items as well as a Giant gift card to each family at Douglass
that is classified as homeless. Currently there are 11 families so designated. Last November the food bags and gift card were also given to the families that “host” these members of the Douglass community that are without a permanent home. Therefore we wil be looking to put together 22 bags of Thanksgiving food and 22
Giant gift cards. Details to follow through our HTLC flyers, talks, and Sunday bulletins.
